Active Directory and LDAP Authentication

iPrism offers directory integration with Novell Netware Directory Services (NDS) and Windows Active Directory. As an LDAP variant, it is possible to integrate iPrism with OSX Server Open Directory.
iPrism supports LDAP and LDAPv2 authentication. LDAP is an industry standard protocol and is supported by most major vendors and operating systems.
iPrism can be configured to integrate with LDAP authentication servers, such as:
- Windows Active Directory
- Novell Netware Server
This means iPrism can authenticate users based on an existing LDAP server with user accounts already in place. This lets you leverage the existing LDAP accounts for both authentication and iPrism reporting/monitoring.
When using Windows Authentication, Auto-Login automatically obtains user credentials from the workstation using a secure Microsoft authentication method. This means users do not have to manually provide credentials to iPrism.
iPrism is able to authenticate Windows users when they are logged into a domain trusted by iPrism's configured domain controller and client browsers can respond to Windows authentication requests from iPrism. Client-configuration in support of AutoLogin authentication differs for Transparent-Mode vs. Proxy-Mode networks.
