Mobile and Remote Filtering
iPrism Web Filter offers remote and mobile filtering to enforce acceptable user policies (AUPs) for remote office and mobile laptop users.
- Filtering policy is managed on the customer iPrism as usual.
- Traffic can be filtered for external clients proxying to iPrism, or via VPN. Below is an illustration of proxying to iPrism.
Filtering on the iPrism via Proxy
Mobile device establishes an HTTP Proxy connection to the iPrism. iPrism is configured to present the web proxy via the external interface. Customer firewall rules must be modified to allow proxy connections.
- Only Web traffic is filtered (HTTP, HTTPS), not IM/P2P
- iPrism mobile filtering is supported for both Transparent-Mode (Bridge) and Proxy-Mode
